Short of the sheer fact that she ruled as a queen during a highly patriarchal time, her work in reviving England’s economy, restoring peace in England, and decreasing religious divides between Protestants and Catholics are greatly admired. Similarly, during her rule, England experienced a historical golden age, defeated the Spanish Armada, massively expanded exploration, and more.
