Ernest Rutherford (1 janv. 1871 – 1 janv. 1937)
Description:
Ernest Rutherford proved Thomson's model wrong after his famous gold foil experiment where he shot alpha particles at gold foil and observed whether they went through or were deflected. By performing this experiment, Rutherford discovered two things: the existence of positively charged protons and that atoms are mainly empty space.
