Dizzy Gillespie was born in South Carolina in October 1917 and was one of the 9 children of James Gillespie and Lottie Gillespie which were his parents
In 1935 Dizzy Gillespie Left school because he was moving with his family who moved to Philadelphia, then Dizzy Gillespie made a recording when he was age 20, he was playing the trumpet in the Teddy Hill Band which he toured in Great Britain and France
In 1956 Dizzy went on a band to the State Department tour to Middle East, Africa. and Asia and that earned him the name of ambassador of Jazz which then let him go to the Jazz Hall of Fame
