The Frank family moves to the Netherlands when Hitler comes to power in the summer of 1933.
Anne recieves a diary for her 13th birthday.
Anne's sister Margot recieves a call-up for deportation to a forced-labor camp
Another Jewish family, the van Pels, join the Franks in hiding.
Fritz Pfeffer joins the Franks.
Anne and her family, along with the other members of the Secret Annex are betrayed and arrested, and sent to Westerbork concentration camp.
The members of the Secret Annex are transported to Auschwitz in a cattle car.
Ann, Margot, and Mrs. van Pels are taken to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
Edith Frank dies at Auschwitz.
Otto Frank is liberated by the Russian army and makes his way back to Amsterdam.
Otto Frank recieves news that his daughters have died, and gets Anne's diary.
Anne and Margot die within days of each other in March of 1945.
The first 1500 copies of Anne's diary are published.
