1848- Signed the Declaration of Sentiments
1866- Lucretia Mott became the first president of the American Equal rights Association.
1869- NAWSA was founded
1920- The nineteenth Amendment was ratifed, and gave women the right to vote.
1890- Elizabeth Candy Stanton served as president of NAWSA
1851- Sojourner Truth delivered "Aint i a woman" speech.
1889- Wyoming was the first state to give woman the right to vote.
1820-1870 abolitionism protested for rights of all men, which led to the debate of woman sufferage.
1868- Susan B. Anthony founded the American equal rights association.
1861-1865 interrupted woman suffrage movement because women had to go to work, but they gained knowledge that helped advance their movement.
1870- The fifteenth amendment was ratified and gave black men the right to vote but not women.
1914-1918 Because of WWI women were playing an active role in the economy, helping advance the sufferage movement.
