The Beginning
The first humans began to cultivate in what
is now modern-day "Africa" around
250,000-200,000 years ago. These people
are what we call "hunter-gatherers"
because they make their living by hunting,
fishing, and finding food.Around 10,000 BCE, people began to make
tools to advance the making of crops, and they
even began to raise their own animals. These
people are considered, according to the Lenski
Model, as: horticultural/pastoral.Sometime around 3500 BCE, a new type of
living began to cultuvate. This was called
"agricutural". It is when people began to grow
food not only for themselves, but also to sell or
give to others.Period
