The Magnus Archives Canon

I don't process the dates of ANYTHING in this show which is terrible because it's all over the place in terms of chronology, so while I was relistening from episode 1 in the wake of MAG 160 (rip the 6 month hiatus) I said, "might fuck around and make a timeline." Obviously, this is spoiler-heavy (or just... literally all spoilers lol), so view at your own risk. The colored cubes on the bottom of the timeline are different tags assigned to each of the events, so if you want to look at the timeline of, say, events associated with a certain episode, or with a certain entity, or a certain character, you can easily filter out the unnecessary parts of the timeline by selecting the proper tag. The boxes in blue and purple are the dates a statement was given to the archives (blue refers to statements recorded by Jon, purple refers to statements recorded by Gertrude), and the boxes in green are the mostly accurate dates of the actual events (if a certain event has an unclear date but a potential timeframe of a few weeks or less, I have it as a box in green with a disclaimer about the date in the description). For the frustratingly vague dates, I have them assigned to time periods (for example, we know Mary Keay died sometime in 2008, so the entirety of 2008 has a timeframe labeled "Mary Keay dies"). If you have any suggestions for what I should add to the timeline, feel free to leave a comment, or send your suggestion to my tumblr @highestqualitytrash !
