1250- Aztects arrive in the valley of Mexico
1325- established first major city of Tenochtitlan which is now the main city of mexico.
Cortés arrived in 1521 meaning the end of the aztec empire
Teopanzolco, the original center of the city of Cuauhnahuac during the Early Aztec period was built (1150–1350)
1420- constructed double aquaduct to bring fresh water into tenochtitlan
1485 CE- The Stone of Tizoc is carved depicting the Aztec king Tizoc attacking warriors from the Matlatzinca
1507 CE- The Throne of Motecuhzoma II is carved. Also known as the Monument of Sacred War.
1400- artists from Oaxaca which was a neighboring civilization resided in Tenochtitlan which influenced the art styles
1519- the Spanish arrive and start to get to know the locals they also bring with them examples of Spanish music and instruments
1428- Triple Alliance is formed consisting of Tenochtitlan, Tetzcoco, and Tlacopan. This meant the different types of food from each sub-culture were combined
1450- Major drought across the Basin of Mexico means food is scarce and hard to find
1835- mirrors that were used in art started to be made out of modern material instead of polished obsidian.
1847- flutes start to become made of metal instead of traditional bone or wood.
The 1900s- factory farming and mass production of meat become popular instead of home farms.
1856- The first synthetic dye, mauveine, was discovered serendipitously by William Henry Perkin
1428- as a result of civil wars the empire embraced a more military clothing style.
