Description:
Magnus Maximus is killed, having surrendered in Aquileia, and although he pleaded for mercy was executed. The Senate passed a decree of Damnatio memoriae against him, and his son Victor is captured and strangled by Arbogastes, but his mother, wife and two daughters were spared.
