1 janv. 600 - In the early 600s, Christianity extended around the Mediterranean, across much of Europe into Spain and Britain, East to the edge of Central Asia as far as Zerang and Qandahar in modern Afghanistan, and into the Sassanian Persian Empire, with Christian churches concentrated in northern Iraq in the foothills of the Zagros, and in the trading posts of the Persian Gulf.
