Description:

Constine was a Roman emperor from 274 to 337 AD. He was the firstemperor to embrace Christianity and used it for political gain. In 325 AD, he organiszed the first Christian Council at Nicea to address issues in the church that he thought could threaten his epire. He ended the harsh persecution of Christians that had occurred under the previous emperor. Dioletian, and made Christianity legally accepted with the Edict of Milian. Constantine also commissioned 50 Bibles for churches in Constantinople, helping to preserve Christian texts. During his rule, Christianity became the main religion of the Roman Empire.
