- Collaboration between Carl Baermann and instrument maker Georg Ottensteiner- First built off Muller system clarinet
- Slightly more complex than Boehm clarinet (21 tone holes, 23 key parts)
- Attempted to use single tone holes with multiple keys rather than separate holes
