3 janv. 1773 - 1773 - The Tea Act

Description:

In 1773, the British Government passed the Tea Act, which consisted of allowing the struggling East India Company to sell their surplus of tea to the colonists without paying taxes. The colonists saw this as a sneaky way for the British Government to continue to push for the colonists to accept taxes; even though the tea was cheaper now, the colonists were still suffering the consequences of an act which had been passed specifically for the colonists and once again, they were back to the same thing: taxation without representation.
