Also known as the July Ordinances; established by Charles X in an attempt to make his people happy; restricted the freedom of the press; dissolved the Chamber of Deputies; only allowed wealthy people to be part of the franchise (to vote), and called for a new election; caused division amongst the people and anger; led to the downfall of Charles X and the Revolution of 1830; the limits on freedom in France which sparked the revolution there
