Description:

The Egypt Rebellion of 984 is a consequence of the Council of Hieria, as the Orthodox Chalcedonians and the remnants of Miaphysitism against the Askesists and the Council of Hieria. The revolt halted any achivement the Romans gain in effort over the ongoing Rome-Nubia War if they would, and let the war become a long attrition to nearly 40 years. Ironically, this against the first purpose that Nikephoros II hold Council of Hieria which want to quickly end the war by pleasing the generals whom follow Askesism and support him.
