Description:
1491 AD: The Siege of Granada and the Treaty of Granada, signed on November 25, 1491, after an eight-month siege between Boabdil, the Sultan of Granada, and the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella, ended the Granada War, which had begun in 1482. The treaty marked the surrender of the Muslim Emirate of Granada in January 1492 and granted generous terms and rights to the Muslim inhabitants, including religious tolerance and fair treatment.
