1 janv. 1179 - (1179) The Treaty of Cazola
Description:
1179 AD: The Treaty of Cazola (or Cazorla) was signed in Soria in 1179 between Alfonso II of Aragon and Alfonso VIII of Castile. The pact divided Al-Andalus into separate conquest zones for the two kingdoms, so that the work of the Reconquista would not be hindered by internal Christian feuding over spoils. The agreement also stipulated that it would be permanent and upheld by the successors of both Alfonsos.
