HEADBUTT INJURIES' Amber Heard had ‘two black eyes’ on Late Late Show with James Corden after Johnny Depp ‘headbutt’
by Chris Pollard & Brittany Vonow
AMBER Heard told her stylist "can you believe I just did that show with two black eyes?" after appearing on a chat show the night after she was headbutted by Johnny Depp.
The 34-year-old actress claimed she was slapped and pulled up the stairs by Depp, 57, at their LA apartment in a furious bust-up in 2015.
Depp has already admitted to headbutting Heard at their LA penthouse but claimed it was "accidental" when he took to the stand last week.
The High Court today was told how Heard appeared on the Late Late Show with James Corden on December 16, 2015, the night after the alleged incident.
Heard is then said to have exclaimed "Can you believe I just did that show with two black eyes?" after the show.
But Hollywood stylist Samantha McMillen today took the stand in the libel case, claiming she had not seen the actress with any visible marks on her face or body.
In a witness statement to the court, she said: "I saw her throughout the day, in good light, at close range, wearing no makeup.
"Throughout the day, I could see clearly that Amber did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her body.
"After the show, Ms Heard said to me, ‘Can you believe I just did that show with two black eyes?’ But she did not have any black eyes, and had been visibly uninjured throughout the day and at that moment.
"I later learned that Ms Heard had accused Johnny Depp of violently abusing her the previous night."
The High Court heard today:
Photographs of poo in the couple's bed were shown to the court after Depp alleged it had been left by Heard
Amber Heard wrote in her diary that Depp had wrapped a shirt around her neck during a row on their honeymoon
Depp's security guard denied he had seen the actress was injured during the trip
Security guard Malcolm Connolly said he had arrived to find the couple screaming at each other during a trip to Australia
The security team discussed possible fake explanations for Depp's severed finger, including that he had cut himself chopping onions
She said she had been "confused" by Heard's comments about the bruises, saying: "I didn't see the black eyes, but also I don't want to, you know, raise any sort of - I just wanted to go home."
Ms McMillen said he later overheard Ms Heard telling a pal: “Make sure to get those pictures on to my computer” - but she didn’t know what pictures she was referring to.
Sasha Wass QC, representing News Group Newspapers, then referred to a message sent by Heard in December 2015, which read: "Johnny did a number on me tonight."
The barrister asked: "Did Ms Heard ever say to you that Johnny 'did a number on her'?"
Ms McMillen said: "She never said anything about that to me."
And the stylist admitted she was loyal to Depp, saying: "I’m loyal because he is kind and loyal back, but not for any other reason than that."
Ms McMillen was then asked about an email sent by Ms Heard to her publicist, Jodi Gottlieb, in the early hours of December 16 which said: "I'm really bruised or might have a black eye or two tomorrow … I might not be fit for tomorrow but I won't know how bad the bruise is until the morning."
And she said she couldn't think of why she would have sent the email if she didn't have the injuries.
The stylist also said she didn't remember any conversation with Heard's make-up artist, Melanie Inglessis, that she was "going to put a really bright red lipstick on Ms Heard to try and cover the mark on her lip".
Depp has claimed Ms Heard faked the injuries as part of an “insurance dossier” against him.
