1 févr. 1832 - Royal Commission on Factory Reform
Description:
Set up by the Whigs. Commissioners were employed to inspect factories as the new industry had been very unregulated. They interviewed people but got a lot of unreliable information. Nobody at the time was saying child labour was wrong - thought the conditions were wrong. Led to the 1833 Factory Act.
