This is the event of the era, the breaking point between 50s and 60s, the event this whole timeline is structured around. JFK, the legend himself, is assassinated whilst campaigning in Dallas. RIP in pepperoni. Even as the nation mourned, changes began taking place - the niceties of good ol' JFK were gone, and in their place, the seeds of the next era's horrors (LBJ, mainly).
