President Dwight Eisenhower sent U.S. troops and nationalized the Arkansas Guard to protect nine black students trying to attend Little Rock, Arkansas’s, Central High School. This was a huge conflict in Arkansas and it brought up the doctrine of separate of equal, and whether schools should be segregated or not. Definetly a step back.Ajouté au bande de temps:
