18 juill. 1955 - 'Open skies' proposition denied
Description:
a first summit conference met in Geneva. Eisenhower suggested ‘open skies’ to ease suspicion: each power would be free to overfly the other, to take photographs, and to exchange blueprints of each others’ military programmes. Khrushchev declined the plan – it would lay open soviet secrets. The conference was not very fruitful.
