What is relevant is to get a good idea of the time frame in which "humanity" took its first step to explore the world for what it is. I will use this even to use in decades or centuries approximately how long it would be in my stories time. Details will be added later. Note how this app states that this was exactly 527 years ago. I will use this number in relevance to my story.
