Description:
Justinian’s code consisted of 4 works including Roman laws that were already created (The Code), quotes from legal thinkers (The Digest), instructions on the use of the law (The Institute) as well as new laws that were added as needed (The Novellae). Justinian's code unified the complicated Roman society, covering all aspects of Byzantine life such as Marriage, slavery, and property.
