This falls under the "Finance #5" section in the Omaha Platform. The guarantee of safe deposit of money in banks has to do with the Banking Act of 1933. This act guarantees coverage/ insurance over the money in your banking account. This was passed after the Great Depression, when 9,000+ banks failed and took all their clients money with them. This act was signed in march of 1933 but did not go into effect until the new year. This act brought upon FDIC.
