1 janv. 1990 - American with Disabilities Act Passed
Description:
The American with Disabilities Act serves to protect those with disabilities from discrimination. Employment, communication, transportation, and regular public accommodations are now required to be discrimination free for those who are disabled. This was important at its passing, as it reinforced the belief that discrimination against the disabled was, and is, a violation of Civil Rights. This program still exists today, and continues to bridge the gap of advantages between the disabled and those who aren’t.
