Boston Latin School is founded in Massachusetts. This was the first school established in the United States, and it served as a program to educate young white males. It was created to make sure those men entered into the ministry. It was important back then because it was the first school in general where one could get an education, albeit very exclusive. It is still relevant today, as that school still exists as a university today.
