9 nov 1918 - Germany in hands of socialists

Description:

From Kiel the revolution spread rapidly across Germany. Workers' and soldiers' councils were set up in Hamburg (6 November), Cologne (7 November), Frankfurt, Leipzig and Munich (8 November) and finally Berlin (9 November). Imperial authority collapsed abruptly and completely. By 9th November the whole of Germany was effectively in the hands of socialist-controlled soviets.
