1 janv. 1956 - The U.S defuses the Suez Crisis.
Description:
In 1956 the U.S. helped defuse the Suez Canal. They did this because tensions were high in the Middle East and they wanted to keep their good relations with other countries. The U.S. also didn't want communism to start in the Middle East. Because of this they convinced Britain, France, and Israel to leave the Suez Canal. All in all, this was about keeping the peace.
