Description:

Once Korea had been controlled by Japan, it was split into two parts, 2 independent countries. This dividing line was the 38th parallel. The soviets took North Korea, and the U.S. south. When communism took China, the U.S. slowly departed South Korea. The North attacked the 38th parallel on June 25, 1950 and easily overturned South Korea.
