Landmark Supreme Court case that addressed the issue of language barriers in schools with non-English speaking students. For a time Asian Americans along with Hispanic and Native Americans struggled in the classroom being taught in English when their primary language is something else. Leading to bilingual education programs and other implementations that support non-English speakers even today. At the time anyone that couldn't comprehend their class fully due to language was to be taught in their primary language.
