1 janv. 1635 - The Boston Latin Grammar School was established.

Description:

The first American high school. Not available to everyone other than the colonial elite it was a Latin grammar school made to help boys prepare for the ministry or a career in law. Even though it taught a very select group of people and the education was of little use to the general public it's still important to note being the first high school helping develop future high school education that we now have for most citizens in America. This led to the academy of Philadelphia.
