- The Treaty of Sèvres was a treaty signed in 1920 between the Ottoman Empire and the victorious Allied powers
- The treaty marked the beginning of the Ottoman Empire's partitioning and dismemberment
- It abolished the Ottoman Empire and forced Turkey to renounce all rights over Arab Asia and North Africa
- The treaty also ceded large parts of Ottoman territory to France, the United Kingdom, Greece, and Italy.

- The treaty angered the Turkish, who considered it to have virtually abolished Turkish sovereignty. The government refused to accept the treaty, and the Republic of Turkey was formed

- The Treaty of Sèvres was later revised and replaced by the Treaty of Lausanne
