1 janv. 1735 - Self-Government and Freedom

Description:

These ideas about government were brought by the English colonists. Back then, they would have town meetings where they would discuss local issues and solve them. Slowly, these started to build the basis for self-government in the colonies. In 1735, the Zenger trial helped to promote the idea of freedom, a right that should be respected and protected. As the population became more familiar with freedom, they began to feel the need to be free.
