For some years, the British had been fighting the French in the Seven-Year War. Soon the fighting came over to the colonies. The French had made a deal with the Native Americans to help them fight against the British. Soon the French were loosing and they had a treaty made. That treaty was The Treaty of Paris of 1763. This ended the French and Indian War.
