Kenneth B. Clark was a seminal Black psychologist. Alongside his wife, Mamie Phipps Clark (PhD), he conducted pioneering studies using dolls to explore the impact of segregation on Black children's self-perception and self-esteem. Their research on the psychological effects of racial segregation was instrumental in the landmark Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education.
