American neurologist, physician, and psychiatrist. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University in 1878.

He had an interest in mental health and the study of mental disorders, contributing to the broader understanding of neurological and psychiatric conditions including psychoneurotic disorders (Wilson, 1907).
