Adolf Meyer received his medical degree from the University of Zurich in 1892. Meyer became a prominent figure at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he served as the director of the Henry Phipps Psychiatric Clinic. Meyer introduced the concept of psychobiography, an approach that involves studying an individual's life history to understand the development and manifestation of mental disorders.
