When Ṣaddām Ḥussein refused to leave Iraq, U.S. and allied forces launched an attack on the morning of March 20; it began when U.S. aircraft dropped several precision-guided bombs on a bunker complex in which the Iraqi president was believed to be meeting with senior staff. This was followed by a series of air strikes directed against government and military installations, and within days U.S. forces had invaded Iraq from Kuwait in the south destroying bridges and dams and setting fire to Iraq’s southern oil wells. Martin Luther King Jr. would think that you have to quote "love your enemies." as he states in a speech in a New York church about the Vietnam war. I think he would set up a protest against the war because of the families that would suffer from troops going to Iraq; he would be thinking about the loss the families would face if one of their own dies.
