Description:
When Nikephoros was tired of being on campaign year after year, the Frankish king, Charlemagne, offered a deal that Frankish army would restore Dalmatia and Dacia to Roman rule in under a year, and then march into Bulgari itself if needed and take the capital; in return, he would be crowned as an Emperor, and his grandson Louis would marry Nikephoros’ daughter Martina when she turned fifteen.
