1 avr. 1785 - The Power Loom Was Invented Edmund Cartwright Invented the power loom in 1785, to help him he employed a blacksmith and carpenter to help him. The machine that they created drastically improved the speed of which the thread could be weaved now it could all be done by machines making it much faster and easier. Finally by 1850 there were over 250,000 power looms in Britain making this a very significant invention duing the Industrial Revolution .
