14 mars 1936 - Germany reoccupies the Rhineland

Description:

After WW1, the countries involved signed the Treaty of Versailles, forcing a defeated Germany to give up Rhineland, and leave it as a demilitarized, isolated base. About two decades, however, Hitler and his Nazi forces led attacks after militarizing Rhineland once again, against Austria, and ultimately, Poland, which was one of the main causes for starting WW2.
