Description:

The 2000 election was run by George Bush and Al Gore. Gore ended up with more votes than Bush and the only state left had been Florida. Whoever won that state would win the electoral college. Bush ended up winning the vote although many blacks stated that they were denied the right to vote. They claimed that they would have voted for Gore. This case would lead up to the Supreme Court which favored 5 to 4 against recounting of votes. The events to follow in 9/11 would lead people to forget about this election.
