Description:
2097-2100 saw the Breizh formation wars where Yann II invaded many of the remaining territories in Brittany who had formed a federation, the principle members being the city of Angers, the council of Nantes, and the city of Rennes who formed the republic of Brittany and were largely french speaking and identifying. Despite a lack of numbers Yann II had more organized troops who had become accustomed to battle in his fathers wars. The republic on the other hand had no central authority and was unorganized, their army made up of anti-raider militia. Yann II won the battle of Malville just outside of Nantes and moved to occupy the other two cities in short order establishing himself as Yann II King of Breizh posthumously declaring his father as Yann I. In the last twenty years Yann II has been content to build up his kingdom establishing control over his new territory while engaging in diplomacy with new regional powers in the heartland of France.
