20 mai 1774 - The Coercive Acts

Description:

The Coercive Acts were put in place by the British Parliament to reprimand the colonist for the Boston Tea Party. It was an attempt to fore Massachusetts to pay for the tea and submit to authority. It included four acts. One, The Boston Port Bill, that closed the Harbor for trade. Two, The Massachusetts Government Act, that annulled colony's charters and prohibited town meetings. Three, the new Quartering Act, forces colonist to make new barracks to house the British troops. Four, the Justice Act, allows capital crimes to be moved to other colonies or Britain to be justified.
