16 févr. 1965 - Moree: Gamilaraay people - Pool protest
Description:
Freedom Riders arrived in Moree and decided to visit the local swimming pool as it was a hot day. The manager refused to allow entry to all Aboriginals, so the SAFA's held a protest with posters and signs. After 25 mins, they allowed the entry of the Aboriginal boys. They were met with hostility by the townsfolk, but after a meeting, they were able to remove the segregation in the swimming pool.
