1 janv. 5 - Distal tubule
Description:
Extra H+ ions in the blood get reabsorbed into the nephron by active transport. The water gets removed and returned to the blood from the filtrate. The tubule helps regulate the concentration of potassium (K+), and salt (NaCl) in the body fluids. The PH also gets controlled by the secretion of H+ from the tubule, as well as the reabsorption of bicarbonate ions.
Transported substances:
Salt (NaCl), potassium ions (K+), water (H2O), hydrogen ions (H+), bicarbonate (HCO3), uric acid, and ammonia (NH3)
