Description:

As the last of Earth's fossil fuel sources became more and more dried up, many large-scale conflicts occurred in the 2050's and 2060's which lead to more deaths than any other conflict of the 21st century.

Many first world Nations had already switched a large part of their power grids to renewable and nuclear power sources, but for any sections of any grids where fossil fuel use was still a necessity...there would still be a great financial need for control of this dwindling resource.

Third world nations were particularly impacted by these conflicts, as it was such an expensive ordeal to update an entire nation's power grid that only wealthy first world nations could truly afford to manage it completely.
