Neil Armstrong was aboard the Apollo 11 alongside Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins. They blasted off on 16 July, 1969, and four days later, Armstrong and Aldrin landed on the moon. They landed in a Lunar Module called The Eagle, while Collins stayed in orbit and did experiments and took pictures.
