When my mother (Dr. Nicole Broadnax) was born April 7th, 1979 - Her great grandmother had just passed and her mother wasn’t too well adjusted. My mother lived from place to place in the Los Angeles area which was mainly in Crenshaw, California. She has lived through poverty. The scariest event she’s witnessed is the LA riots. There were many disturbances such as people smashing car windows and setting fires among the streets of LA. She lived in the middle of the disturbance leading to a broken window in the home she lived in.S.B.
